Nokia has announced Nokia 5800 XpressMusic quad-band GSM mobile phone in India which features 3.2-inch 16M TFT display, 3.15 Megapixel digital camera, FM Radio+RDS, media player with 5-band equalizer, Bluetooth with A2DP, built-in GPS receiver with Nokia Maps and ultrafast HSCSD wireless connection and EDGE connectivity options

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone allowing several modes of information input including a virtual alphanumeric keypad and a virtual full QWERTY keyboard in addition to offering pen-stylus and a plectrum for touchscreen input.

Equipped with dedicated audio chip, the new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic delivers enhanced music performance.

In addition to local music file transfer from PC or another bluetooth enabled handset, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic allows direct downloading / purchase of music tracks from a range of Internet music stores using Windows Media Player Digital Rights management (WMDRM).

Quad-band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz network ready Nokia 5800 XpressMusic sports 369 MHz ARM11 CPU running Symbian OS v9.2, S60 rel. 3.1 and it features a large 3.2-inch (360 x 640 pixels) TFT display supporting brilliant 16 million colors in 16:9 display aspect ratio.

Available in Black, Red and Blue colors, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset comes with 81 MB SDRAM, 128 MB Flash ROM and it supports upto 16-GB hotswapable MicroSD media expansion card for expandable memory. A 8-GB microSD card comes along as package.

The phone also offers a new “Media Bar” which is a drop-down menu that allows direct access to music and entertainment along with offering direct link to the web and online music stores and music sharing websites.

Nokia 5800 music phone also offers a powerful 3.15 Megapixel digital camerawith maximum 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution offering Carl Zeiss Optics, Autofocus feature and integrated LED flash. The phone allows images or videos sharing via online social network sites / communities, such as Share on Ovi, Flickr, or Facebook.

Media player in Nokia 5800 XpressMusic supports large range of audio formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA and MP4 and audio player software also offers album art, playlists and 5-band equaliser and audio visualisations along with universal 3.5-mm Audio Adapter to plug-in your choice of headphones.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone also features built-in stereo loudspeakers delivering high quality audio along with integrated FM radio with RDS which has option for 50 station presets and one can listen to the radio in the background while using other phone functions.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone also allows download of music tracks from a range of Internet music stores using Windows Media Player Digital Rights management (WMDRM). In addition, one can also enjoy the wireless music listing using Bluetooth stereo headphones.
